Fleury-les-Aubrais is a commune of more than 21 000 inhabitants located in Center-Loire Valley, in the department of Loiret. It takes place on the edge of the Orleans forest, less than 130 kilometers from Paris.
Former rural village and market gardener, the one that was then called Fleury-aux-Choux was founded by some Benedictine monks of the abbey of Fleury. It was not until the middle of the nineteenth century and the arrival of the railway that Fleury-les-Aubrais, which takes its current name in the early twentieth century, really develops from an economic and demographic point of view.
Now integrated into the urban area of Orléans, the city of Fleury-les-Aubrais is appreciated for its proximity to some of the most beautiful sites in the region, as well as for its modest architectural heritage. The town, very active, also benefits from a very lively cultural life.
