The museum of the castle of Flers takes place in the department of Orne, within the enclosure of the building of the eighteenth century. Open from April to October, it presents very beautiful collections of fine arts and decorative arts.
The permanent collection presents a beautiful panorama of Western painting with old French, Italian or Nordic paintings, and works of the nineteenth century by artists as famous as Courbet, Boudin or Caillebotte. The museum can also admire Jean Cocteau ceramics or beautiful furniture.
By browsing the different rooms of the castle, it is also possible to discover at its own pace the lives of men and women who have lived here over time. In the basement, two rooms also trace the textile past of the Normandy region.
