A former fortified house from the 16th century, the Château de Villevert was completely transformed at the end of the 19th century, in particular with the addition of a chapel. Composed of a one-storey main building, it is flanked by two two-storey pavilions extended by two wings.
The Château de Villevert also has a high slate roof pierced with openings covered with a steeple from the Second Empire. The Sainte-Hélène chapel, in neo-Byzantine style, now benefits from an inscription as a Historic Monument, as does its decorations. This modest building with a single nave and semi-circular apse reveals very beautiful stained glass windows, as well as paintings and mosaics. Visitors can discover, on either side of the altar, angels carrying the instruments of the Passion.
