Located along La Bresque, in a green wooded setting, the village is held over the centuries by various illustrious families of Provence, Châteaurenard, Castellane including the count of Grignan, then the Bruny.
The main crops are olive and vine and two cooperatives produce AOC wines and extra virgin olive oil in AOC, which have won many awards.
Entrecasteaux is renowned as one of the most beautiful villages in the Var with its rich cultural, architectural and environmental heritage. Since 1967 the village and its surroundings are listed in the inventory of picturesque sites of the Var.
