Municipality of Puy-de-Dôme, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Ennezat takes place in the heart of Limagne, between Ambène and Morge. It is located not far from Riom, Entraigues and Martres-sur-Morge.
Known since the Middle Ages, the commune of Ennezat experienced a new boom in the 12th century with the founding of the new town. High economic place at the time, with in particular two fairs and a permanent market, it suffered a decline following the Hundred Years War and the Wars of Religion. It experienced a certain rebound in the 19th and 20th centuries with the cultivation of beets before taking on the face we know today.
Appreciated for the richness of its architecture, Ennezat is also recognized in the region for hosting the largest biogas unit in the whole of Auvergne.
