The Hippodrome de la Bergeyre is located in the commune of Eauze, in the Gers department, 20 km northwest of Vic-Fezensac.
Created in 1967 in a bucolic environment to the south-east of the town, encroaching on the locality of Bascous, it has a grass track of 1100 m with rope on the left allowing courses of 2375 m (for trotting) and 3000 m (for galloping). The finish line, for its part, is 300 m long.
Classified in category 3, the racecourse hosts five meetings per year, mainly dedicated to harness trotting races. Organized by the horse racing company of Eauze, they are scheduled for the first Sunday in May, Pentecost Monday, early July, the last Sunday in July and the first Sunday in August.
Betting points for spectators are set up, and a restaurant under a marquee also makes it possible to satisfy horse racing enthusiasts in a friendly atmosphere.
Activities are also organized for young audiences.
