An ethnological museum located in the Bernardines monastery of Dijon, the Musée de la Vie Bourguignonne Perrin de Puycousin was born from the collections of M. Perrin de Puycousin, a local collector at the end of the 19th century.
Created in 1929, it has been located since 1984 in a building classified as a Historic Monument. Associated with the sacred art museum of the Sainte-Anne church of Dijon since the 1990s, the site presents collections on several themes including the traditional Burgundian rural ethnographic heritage of the end of the 19th century (housing, furniture, traditional costumes, etc.), trades, tools, agrifood and industry, as well as the historical heritage of mustard. You will thus have access to the rural and Burgundian ethnographic heritage thanks to reconstitutions of atmospheres and collections of objects on the ground floor, before going on the first floor to discover the daily life of Dijon from the 18th century until the Second World War.
Creative workshops, thematic tours and evenings are regularly offered to help you discover this exceptional heritage in the best conditions.
