Things to see and do

Built in the middle of the 19th century, the Saint-Guy church is a fine example of neo-Greek architecture. Close to the styles of the Saint-Louis church in La Roche-sur-Yon or that of the church of Saint-Hilaire-de-Loulay, it notably has an imposing bell tower from the end of the 19th century by Victor Clair. The building consists of three naves and square pillars supporting a beautiful painted coffered ceiling. The set is completed with stained glass windows designed in the 1960s and representing scenes from the Bible, Creation or the Last Judgment.

While passing through Damvix, be sure to admire the Petite Bernegoue dovecote.

The town also attracts cycling enthusiasts, with in particular part of the Vélo Francette, a marked trail. Several other hiking trails are also to be discovered, like the Rainettes trail.

Events and festivities

The weekly market is held every Wednesday morning.

Fireworks and popular ball are offered in mid-July during the national holiday.

In August, Damvix celebrates with garage sales, flea markets, boating festivals and fireworks.
