Crépon is a small village of over 220 inhabitants situated in the Calvados in Normandy. It lies in the heart of Bessin, a few kilometers from Courseulles-sur-Mer and Arromanches-les-Bains, and fifteen kilometers from Bayeux. It would take its name from the Gallic Crippo, which together with the term refers Dunon agglomeration.
The village of Crépon still has a beautiful typical architectural heritage of this part of Normandy, and is on the edge of Gold Beach, one of the beaches of Normandy which was the scene of the landing of allied June 6th, 1944.
