Courrensan village is very old (eleventh century) and type castelnau. It was enlarged and can be considered a country house. The village is built on a promontory overlooking the Auzoue.
In 1062, the name appears Courrensan with a school attached to a monastic priory dependent Cluniac monastery of Saint-Mont. From this period date surely the castle and the adjoining castelnau.
In the 13th century is developing a second village where we built the first square tower Gascon stone monuments. The country house was protected by a double row of trenches and fortifications.
