Altiport installed in the heart of the winter sports resort, in Savoie, the Courchevel aerodrome takes place at an altitude of more than 2000 meters, offering one of the smallest tracks in the country, 537 meters long. The site also offers the steepest slope in the world for an international airport (18.66%).
Mountain aerodrome known for its downhill takeoffs and uphill landings, it is only accessible by a small number of pilots with a Mountain wheel qualification.
Originally intended for business aviation, the site has continued to evolve, experiencing increased attendance from passing tourists. In addition to the runway, the Courchevel aerodrome also has a catering service located right by the tarmac.
