Dordogne village, Condat-sur-Vézère its place at about ten kilometers from Montignac. Located in the district of Sarlat-la-Caneda, he settled on the left bank of the Vézère, at the confluence with the Coly. Moreover, it is this location that takes its name.

Ancient village Condat-sur-Vézère has an important architectural heritage to testify. Green and pleasant, the site unveils castles and other religious buildings that give it its charm.

Things to see and do

Exceptional monuments abound in the Dordogne village that has preserved its heritage and traditions.

Listed historical monument, the castle of Condat reveals still some vestiges of greatness. It is possible to admire a home of the sixteenth century and a dungeon of the Commandery of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, of the fifteenth century.

On the right bank of the Vézère, Castle Little Filolie was built in the Renaissance and rebuilt in the seventeenth century. On the left bank, the castle Fleunie that unfolds. Today luxury hotel and restaurant, was built in the twelfth and fifteenth centuries.

The Church of Our Lady and St. John the Baptist can appreciate a novel style charm. Built in the thirteenth century, it has been listed historical monument, including its fortified belfry.

In the village, you can discover exceptional residences, such as half-timbered houses, or the noble house of Verdier.

The waterfalls of Coly, just outside the village of Condat-sur-Vézère, are an opportunity for a short hike around the site.

Note that in the village, two areas are classified ecological interest, flora and fauna: the Causse de Terrasson, mostly wooded, and the slope of the Escaleyrou.
