Coltines is a pretty village located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, in the Cantal department (15), in the heart of the * Planèze de Saint-Flour.

Originally, as for all mountain villages, climatic conditions had a major influence on the choice of site, of course, but also of habitat (in harmony with the character of its immediate environment). This typical heritage is remarkably well preserved there.

* Planèze de Saint-Flour: large basaltic plateau of approximately 400 km² and 1000 m above sea level (average altitude). It is located to the east of the Monts du Cantal... which, as a backdrop, reminds you that you are in the mountains! Because the flatness of the planézard landscape often leads to believe that we are in the plain!
