Common Alpes-Maritimes, in the Pays Niçois, Colomars takes place about fifteen kilometers from Nice, not far from Saint-Martin-du-Var and Saint-Laurent-du-Var. Residential area, it is located between the valley of the Var and the side of the Bald Mountain.
Founded in the second half of the eleventh century, in 1070, the village of Colomars then depended on the monastery of Saint-Pons of Nice before becoming a dependency of Aspremont. The municipality as we know it today is born in the second half of the 19th century, in 1874, following the official separation of Colomars, Aspremont and Castagniers.
