Cohennoz is a charming little village of Savoy located in the heart of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Peuplé of about 160 inhabitants, it takes place in front of the massif of the Aravis, in the arrondissement of Albertville.
Formerly attached to Héry-sur-Ugine, the commune of Cohennoz took its independence a decade after the events of the French Revolution. It takes its name from the Germanic, Cuno or Cono, which designates the proper name of a landowner. Today, the village is best known for its tourist activity, and especially for its ski resort.
