Ranked historic monument for its facades, roofs, its park and gardens and registered for its interiors, Breteuil Castle dates from the sixteenth century. Restored in the nineteenth and twentieth century, it is now accessible to the public can discover skits about the history of the building through wax statues made by the waxworks and automata. Labeled Remarkable Garden, the park has a French garden and an English garden including an orangery and a dovecote classified historical monument. Difficult to resist the labyrinth or romantic park that presents a particular label path of remarkable trees. Inside, the art lovers will appreciate the royal tables, the furniture of the eighteenth century or the collection of carriages in the stables. Seven Stories Charles Perrault are also staged there.

Also listed historical monument, the Church of St. John the Baptist dates from the thirteenth century and reveals a beautiful architecture typical of the region. Not far away, in the local cemetery, it is possible to discover the tomb of the French writer Michel Tournier.

Walking through the village, be sure not to admire the enclosed laundry eighteenth century, or, more recently, the underground bunker built during World War II.

On May 8, a flea market takes place in the town.

Concerts are offered in June on the occasion of Music Day.
