The town of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin joins forces with the 3 P'tits Points association to pay tribute to photographer Régis Colin and his work. - PARCOURS retraces thirty years of photographic encounters along the paths of the Château des Ravalet park, through a selection of the 80,000 photographs in the reporter's archives. - As a worker, docker and photojournalist for La Presse de la Manche and then Paris-Normandie, Régis Colin met gypsies in Romania and Cubans, as well as workers and veterans of the Normandy landings. - Free exhibition during park opening hours : March 8am-6.30pm / April 8am-7pm.

For the second year running, the artothèque is unveiling its print treasures outside the walls of the Espace Culturel Hippolyte Mars. Following on from the MODERNE exhibition, dedicated to the aesthetic turning point of the 30 Glorieuses, the sortir des cases exhibition retraces 40 years of comic strip print production. - Through works by Frédéric Bézian, Brecht Evens, Floc ? H, Jochen Gerner, Ever Meulen, José Muñoz, Alex Raymond, François Schuiten and Jacques Tardi, the gradual integration of comics into the contemporary art paradigm is revealed. Inheriting a form of modern popular imagery, the works presented tend to emancipate themselves from the formal language and aesthetics specific to comics. The evolution of this niche market tells the story of a liberation of frameworks and techniques. - With a collection of some 1,800 works, the artothèque is a municipal art lending service open to all : individuals, schools, businesses, etc. For a subscription fee, you can borrow works from the artothèque. Exposition "Côte-en-Teinte, Portrait d'un Paysage" d'Élise Prudhomme

The exhibition "Côte-en-teinte, portrait d ? un paysage" at Château des Ravalet, brings together the photographic work of Élise Prudhomme. It features some forty prints made using traditional methods to illustrate the many facets of the North Cotentin landscape. The noble metals of the bends (gold, silver, palladium) lend varied tones to the images - sepia, Prussian blue, deep warm black - which alternate with color prints to highlight a "new picturesque". - The exhibition "Côte-en-teinte, portrait d ? un paysage" will run from April 3 to 28,2024, in the Salle des communs of Château des Ravalet, from Wednesday to Sunday, 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
