Located on the road salt, it was in the Middle Ages a fortified village overlooking the valley of the Loue and facing Châteauneuf. Belonging successively to the lords de Salins, Montfaucon and Rye, the castle was sold as national property during the Revolution and destroyed by fire in 1807. Rebuilt, it is now private property and can not be visited.

To see: the 18th century chapel containing beautiful paintings and statues. In the village there is a fountain wash (1826) built with round pillars and a very original town hall.
