The territory of Chassagnes divides into two different aspects: the plain and the plateau. The village groups its gray houses near a beautiful castle, one of the Lords in 1652, raised the ruins of an ancient temple, under the patronage of St. Eugene.

Quiet Village magnified by the decor Chassezac gorges dominated by the Hermitage and St. Eugene Païolive wood. The beautiful beaches of the circus are juggling Endieu between sand and pebbles.

Things to see and do

Features: St. Eugene's Hermitage. Long abandoned, it has been the subject of a recent refurbishment which has given its former appearance. On the edge of the wood Païolive, it is the goal of most beautiful walks can be continued on a trail of woods and scrubland plateau of grads.

The wood Païolive covers a limestone plateau 3,000 hectares which grows a dense vegetation of Mediterranean type. Events and festivities

At Pentecost, baking bread and pizza in the communal oven and tasting of olive oil by the traditional inhabitants of the village.

The last Sunday of July at the garage sale, selling bread baked on site in the wood oven in the village.
