Charming small town of Isère, in region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Charvieu-Chavagneux takes place in the urban area of Lyon, a hundred kilometers from Grenoble. It is located near Pont-de-Chéruy, Chavanoz and Janneyrias.
Resulting from the merger of Charvieu Chavagneux-Montbertrand and in 1961, the town is located on a very old territory that particular welcomed the Hospitallers of Jerusalem. It has gradually developed over the centuries, becoming a center of the steel wire in the middle of the nineteenth century.
Today Charvieu-Chavagneux continues to attract visitors with its architectural heritage, but especially its authentic landscapes and full of charm.
