Listed as a historic monument, the Saint-Pierre church is located in the commune of Chabrillan, in the Drôme. Installed below the perched village, in the heart of the cemetery, it unveils in particular a very beautiful set of Romanesque capitals.
Formerly owned by a priory, it was built in two parts, a first with the choir in the eleventh century, and a second in the thirteenth century. Workshop to welcome the saltpetre during the French Revolution, the church Saint-Pierre is entirely renovated in the XIXth century.
The building is worth a visit for its incredible carved decor and its architectural charm.
