A member of the Queyras Regional Nature Park, the commune of Ceillac is located in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, in the Hautes-Alpes department. Located 80 km from Gap, at 1640 meters above sea level, it is well-known for hosting a renowned winter sports resort.
Village populated as early as the eleventh century, Ceillac only really developed during the twentieth century, with the arrival of electricity in the late 1920s, or the first telephone lines installed at the same time. Formerly a farming community, Ceillac has become an important tourist resort, thanks to its ski resort.
Having preserved its authenticity and charm, the commune of Ceillac attracts visitors as much by its architectural heritage as by its sports infrastructures of high quality.
