Camarsac is situated between the Garonne and Dordogne (Entre-Deux-Mers) in a hilly region on the road to Bergerac. The village borders the main road from where we note especially medieval castle built in the early 15th century on the ruins of a fortified house already described in 1080.
From the High Middle Ages, a very large parish matrix has been created around Cursan. It was probably dismantled early from its ends and Camarsac being one of the most remote would separate from the 7th century.
The present church was built during the 12th and 13th centuries. It is listed on the Inventory of Historical Monuments, since December 1925.
In the 19th century includes the parishes of Camarsac Croignon and magnifiers. They will be asked to participate in repair costs.
