The town of Cadillac-sur-Garonne is located in the heart of Entre-deux-Mers, in Gironde, about thirty kilometers south of Bordeaux. It is also an hour's drive from the beaches of the Atlantic coast and the famous Arcachon basin.

The capital of the canton, Cadillac-sur-Garonne benefits from an ideal location in the center of an internationally renowned wine region thanks to the Cadillac AOC label.

This bastide town founded in 1280 by Jean de Grailly, representative of the King of England, still retains its medieval structure today, which can be discovered by taking the interpretation trail.

At the beginning of the 17th century, the Duke of Épernon, favorite of Henry III, chose Cadillac as his place of residence and burial and had a castle built there. Many constructions followed such as La Closière or the Cadillac church.

Wine tourism is the main attraction of the town. There are several wine châteaux and a wine house.

You can also stop at the port of Cadillac on the Garonne, where you can see pleasure boats, passenger boats and even cruise ships.
