Listed as a Historic Monument, the priory of La Colombe probably dates from the second half of the 11th century. Former property of the abbey of La Trinité de Vendôme, it was sold as national property during the Revolution. Some buildings are then demolished, while others are transformed into bourgeois residences with outbuildings.
The land of the priory of La Colombe was ceded to the city to build houses and the current town hall.
