Commune of Oise, in the Hauts-de-France region, Bresles takes place about fifteen kilometers from Beauvais and its cathedral, in the heart of Picardy. It is located not far from Beauvais-Tillé airport, near Fouquerolles, Rémérangles and Rochy-Condé.
Of ancient origin, the municipality of Bresles was once the summer residence of the bishops of Beauvais. From the 19th century, it experienced significant economic growth thanks to the establishment of a sugar refinery which was supplemented by an alcohol distillery in the 1930s. The buildings were completely demolished at the end of the 1990s, ending during this prosperous period.
Today, Bresles has mainly turned to tourism revealing an interesting architectural heritage and a dynamic cultural life.
