A former fortified house from the 14th century, the Château de Pennesuyt was largely rebuilt during the 16th century. Also known as the Château de Loëze, it benefits from partial registration as a Historic Monument for its facades, its roofs and its entrance vestibule.
Not accessible to the visit, the castle of Pennesuyt of Bourg-en-Bresse, reveals an architecture close to the rural manor. It is the only specimen of a classical residence of this type from the 17th century in the department of Ain.
