Neolithic necropolis from the beginning of the 5th millennium BC, the tumulus of Bougon are five in number. Classified as a Historic Monument, they are associated with a Prehistory museum rich in historical collections from excavations in the region.
Erected in a loop of the river Bougon which gave it their names, the mounds of Bougon are spread over two hectares. They contain eight sepulchral chambers and are part of the oldest megalithic architecture on the Atlantic coast.
