The La Louve garden is located in the commune of Bonnieux, in the Vaucluse department, 13 km southwest of Apt.
It was created in 1986 by Nicole de Vésian, a professional stylist, in place of unused land facing south adjoining a house acquired in the village. In around ten years, this garden was imagined in the form of a work of art, a mixture of stones and pruned scrubland plants (boxwood, laurel, thyme, etc.). Furthermore, each shrub, unique in its shape, color and texture, contributes to the creation of a harmonious tapestry of plants. Very contemporary in spirit, the space includes wooden benches and areas dedicated to meditation. The play of green shades of the leaves and the shapes of the shrubs resonate with the landscape of the Luberon and fully contribute to the charm of this garden. This literally revolutionized the models hitherto in vogue in Provence.
The complex extends over 1800 m² and benefits from the “Jardin Remarquable” label. New owners have taken over from the founder of the place but are careful to preserve the spirit and quality of the site.
