Classified under the Historic Monuments in 1862 by Prosper Merimee, the Church of St. Dominic is one of the few monuments of Gothic identified as such in Corsica.

The Church of St. Dominic was built between 1270 and 1343 at the initiative of brothers Dominicans, on the supposed site of the church of the Templars. Simple-looking, the building is topped by a spire of great interest. High from a square base, it rises to an octagonal and is surmounted by a crenellated double-pointed crown.

The interior has a nave completed two aisles separated by a row of five pillars of square section. Two side chapels and two side altars are also high.

The building presents a rigorous composition and is decorated with paintings showing iconography dear to the Dominicans and a sculptor whose major shrines of St. Mary Magdalene and Saint Barthelemy, processional groups baroque carved wood .

Behind the altar is the monks' choir stalls and arranged around a wooden lectern of carved chestnut of great value.
