Village in the heart of the Ardennes Thiérache, formerly the chapel (built by the monks of the Abbey Bonnefontaine) and subsequently in the 17th century parish of Saint Jean-Baptiste Blanchefosse. Blanchefosse was born after the Revolution. In 1973, Blanchefosse and Bay combine to form more than one.
The traditions of the local festivals are followed including the grand procession on Tuesday, called "procession of cuckolds". All young people are then around the village tradition since the 19th century.
