The common Beynat consists of a village at medium altitude and many villages and hamlets can be significant. The circuit of the town to discover the past of a harmonious and peaceful village. Its 12th century church houses the relics of Saint Peter Dumoulin Borie and a real "treasure" consists of several parts classified (statues, paintings, liturgical garments) and a series of stained glass, depicting the life and martyrdom of Saint.
Also equipped with a natural quality, Beynat offers numerous hiking trails that lead hikers to discover the local heritage: crosses, fountains, wash sinks, furnaces on the banks of streams and refreshing waterfalls around Lake Honey its beach, near the "Dolmen of the cabin in fairies", the path of the old streetcar, and the shade of chestnut.
The chestnut precisely, the fruit of breadfruit and local symbol, is celebrated each fall, the third Sunday in October at the county fair winning of the chestnut and brown. This major event combines crafts, culture and spirit of celebration. It annually attracts thousands of visitors, enthusiasts or curious.
Beynat is also tradition. The more than century-old shopping bags: bags of woven straw that made the reputation of the village and whose know-how continues to be perpetuated today and the much more recent farmers' markets of countries every Tuesday evening during the summer the delight of hundreds of people came to enjoy the local products in a festive atmosphere.
Finally Beynat has a critical edge. The tourist center of Honey, around the lake you can practice many activities such as swimming, pedal boating, fishing, mini-golf. The common Beynat and Honey Lake are obtained for the fifth consecutive year the label "Blue flag". Indeed, this certification is not a coincidence since the Blue Flag award and is the common value each year and ports, leading to a permanent policy research and implementation for a sustainable environment quality. It is based on four categories of criteria which are: water management, both in respect of bathing waters as sewage treatment, the overall quality of the environment; initiations in education environmental and waste management.
