The Bessans - Val d'Arc winter sports resort is located in the town of Bessans, in Savoie, 35 km northeast of Modane.
In the heart of the Haute Maurienne valley, near the Italian border and the Vanoise National Park, the area is mainly dedicated to Nordic ski enthusiasts with a total of 133 groomed trails on a plateau between 1750 and 2000 m altitude.
In detail, the site has 13 trails (3 green, 6 blue, 1 red, 3 black), two Nordic routes (cross-country skiing, pedestrians, fat-bike) and some 50 km of trails (pedestrians or hikers with snowshoes). Daily package from 5 to 10 euros.
A biathlon stadium is also available for learning about or practicing this booming discipline.
In addition, near the village which has retained an authentic appearance and a family atmosphere, a small area is reserved for alpine skiing with a snow line for young children, two ski lifts serving 3 slopes (2 blue and one green).
In a preserved environment, certainly renowned above all for its Nordic area, the resort therefore welcomes everyone and in summer, hiking enthusiasts are particularly pampered.
