Commune of Isère, Bernin takes place in the heart of the Chartreuse Regional Natural Park, in the Grésivaudan valley. It is located on the road linking Chambéry, Grenoble and Albertville, not far from Froges, Villard-Bonnot or Saint-Ismier.
Occupied from the 4th millennium BC, the territory of Bernin originally developed around agriculture. We had to wait until the Middle Ages to see the town expand, particularly with the construction of fortified houses in the 11th century. Even today, Bernin is known for its plots of vineyards allowing the production of Coteaux du Grésivaudan IGP.
Lovers of old stones and authentic mountain landscapes will find what they are looking for in this town with its many charms.
