Hôtel-Dieu Museum in Belleville-en-Beaujolais:

Opened in 1733 to accommodate 14 poor people, then gradually enlarged in the 19th century, the Hôtel-Dieu de Belleville operated until 1991. Its perfect state of preservation in made a faithful witness to hospital life. You will discover the apothecary and its rich collection of earthenware, porcelain and glass pots, the council room and its precious archives, the chapels and their exhibitions of sacred art, the three wards still furnished with their alley beds and surgical and usual objects. The authenticity of this place will make you relive the past: from the stoves to the linen closet, life still seems to be there...
Audio-guided tours (half an hour): wards and chapels, Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 3.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m., Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2.30 p.m.). Marius Audin Museum in Beaujeu:

Life in the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century: the house, agriculture, the vine (cultivation, treatments, the cellar), crafts, the classroom, the hospital and its wine estate. Arts: wood and copper engraving (Philippe Burnot). Old dolls from the 19th century (fashion dolls) and the beginning of the 20th century, with their furniture. New section: the Lords of Beaujeu and their place in the history of France. The reception room presents some remains (Romanesque - Renaissance period) of the old monuments of Beaujeu.
