Municipality of Haute-Loire, between Puy-en-Velay and Saint-Etienne, Beauzac takes place east of Velay, on the border of the Loire and Ardeche. It is located at the edge of the Loire gorges, near Monistrol-sur-Loire, Saint-Maurice-de-Lignon and Tiranges.
Mentioned since the beginning of the 9th century, the town of Beauzac is one of the oldest parishes in the diocese of Puy-en-Velay. It developed particularly in the twelfth century with the construction of his castle, of which there are few remains today.
