Ancient medieval Beaumont-sur-Sarthe is a common Pays de la Loire located in the department of Sarthe. Beaumont-sur-Sarthe is an ancient medieval city, which still has a significant number of buildings in good condition.

We can still appreciate different traces of Beaumont castle built in the twelfth century by the viscounts of Beaumont. Installed on a feudal mound, it offered a stunning view of the valley of the Sarthe. In the village, you can still enjoy traces of the city gates and the ancient walls.

Walking the streets, you can find a Romanesque bridge and a water mill dating from the twelfth century also.
