Small semi-perched village of the Verdon and Haut-Var, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, Baudinard-sur-Verdon takes place at the gates of the Verdon gorges, near the Sainte-Croix lake. It is located not far from Régusse, Montagnac-Montpezat and Germany-en-Provence.
Occupied since the Neolithic period, as evidenced by the surrounding caves, the territory of Baudinard-sur-Verdon developed in the Middle Ages with the appearance of a castrum. Today, the village is mainly a tourist site appreciated by visitors who can admire vaulted passages, facades of ramparts and old houses. The proximity to the Verdon and access to many outdoor activities, such as canyoning or rock climbing, also make it a recognized vacation spot.
