Bassemberg

Built around an old 16th century chapel, the Saint-Quirin church was rebuilt in the middle of the 18th century, then enlarged in the 19th century. Formerly a place of pilgrimage for patients suffering from rheumatism, it reveals a beautiful interior decoration with in particular a painting representing the baptism of Saint Quirin or stained glass windows representing Saint Anne, Saint Antoine, Saint Florent, the Immaculate Conception or even Saint Madeleine.

While strolling through the village, you can also discover the various Calvaries, the Pierres-Bornes which set the limits of the old forest of the Abbey of Honcourt, or a Second Empire bench erected in honor of Empress Eugénie de Montijo.

As you walk around, you will also be able to see beautiful houses that have adopted the layout of Vosges-type farms.

At the beginning of May, the Printemps de Bassemberg takes place with its traditional market of plants, flowers, local products, creators, craftsmen and local artists.

In October, the town offers its famous autumn market with an exhibition of mushrooms.
