Small village of just over one hundred and thirty people, Barneville-la-Bertran takes place in the Calvados, Normandy region. At the heart of the Pays d'Auge, it lies five kilometers from Honfleur, and a dozen kilometers from the famous beaches of Deauville.

Quite old, the common Barneville-la-Bertran is named after the family of nobles who were there at the time of the High Middle Ages, and the Scandinavian. Things to see and do

The Church of St. John the Baptist was built in the twelfth century. It reveals a quadrangular tower of the same period, which has been listed historical monument.

Also listed historical monument, the mansion of the Valleys is a must in the village. Built around 1200, it testifies to the richness of the site in the Middle Ages.

Barneville Castle and its park is a promenade popular with locals and visiting tourists. The latter will appreciate the elegant half-timbered houses that occupy the center of the village, like the town hall.
