Oldest of the French Mediterranean coast, the aquarium Banyuls-sur-Mer takes place on the marina of the city and is part of Bioversarium, which also hosts the Mediterranean Garden. On site, you can find hundreds of plants and marine animals from the Pyrenees-Orientales.
In constant development, the site continues to propose new activities, including the opening of another aquarium in the late 2010s during a single tour circuit, fans of marine life to go discovered all the biodiversity of the region starting with a space dedicated to the history of science to Banyuls-sur-Mer. The site also still houses several research laboratories, some of which are visible to the public.
Temporary thematic exhibitions are regularly there, as entertainment for the young and their parents.
