The common Bais lies in the district of Mayenne.
It is the capital of the canton, is one of 39 municipalities of the Community of Municipalities of Coëvrons.
Located at the crossroads of east / west (Le Mans Ferns) and a north / south axis Villaines Evron, it is tucked away in a valley at the bottom of which the river meanders Aron.
