The Hippodrome de Luchon, Bagnères-de-Luchon, is located northeast of the city, near Lake Badech and the airfield.
A first racecourse was created in the nineteenth century in the municipality of Moustajon, a few kilometers north of the spa. According to local historians, this era is coming back from an equestrian meeting that friends of Edmond Rostand had crossed Luchon carriage decorated with flowers, giving birth to the flower festival.
The current infrastructure dates from 1965, and owes its development to a group of enthusiasts. The racetrack has a budding 1850m with rope left track. It basically hosts trotting races in August. On this occasion, admission is free, activities are planned for children and the trials lead to mutual paris.
