Located in the town of Azay-sur-Cher, in Indre-et-Loire, the Château de La Michelinière is a former stronghold of the lordship of Amboise. Erected in the 16th century, it is revealed in the form of a rectangular building framed by two cylindrical towers and opening with a door accosted by pilasters with Renaissance capitals.
Partly listed in the Historic Monuments for its front door, the Château de La Michelinière is adjacent to a small building housing the kitchen with bread ovens as well as a former silkworm farm.
