The Oratory chapel is located rue Vernet, in the center of Avignon.
It was built in the eighteenth century, the Oratory is being established in the city in 1646 and has opened a seminar in 1669.
The construction of the chapel began in 1713 and was not completed until 1749, several architects have been asked repeatedly to cause conflicts with the religious sponsors.
The building comprises a front with a gantry and Corinthian pilasters supporting a concave archivolte, two side doors with a molded array being located on each side.
The internal plane is singular: two concentric ellipses are enclosed in a rectangular outer frame. Note that the choir vaulted cul-de-four is located west side and moreover, low chapels are topped with stands.
Pilasters punctuate all that dominates a breakthrough dome alternate four windows and four œils bull's. After the Revolution, the chapel was a powder deposit office time and ammunition and then returned to the Church, served as chaplain in high school Frederick Mistral.
The building protected as historical monuments regularly hosts concerts and shows during the theater festival in July.
