Situated in the Landes department, Aureilhan is a town belonging to the country of Born. It is located just two kilometers from Mimizan, great attractions of southwestern France.
As evidenced by the archaeological remains found on site, the site of Aureilhan is occupied by man since the Gallo-Roman era. Located on the road to the pilgrimage to Soulac Saint-Jacques de Compostela, the village was once a place of wine production.
But it is mainly for its natural heritage that the village is known to tourists who enjoy its calm and beauty. Close to the city, however the site of Aureilhan can enjoy the charms of country life and the waterfront.
