Aujols

One vestige of the old feudal castle of the city of Aujols the crenellated wall, also called The Niche, is the subject of a registration on Historical Monuments.

Walking through the village, you can also admire St. John the Baptist church rebuilt in the late nineteenth century on the remains of a former religious building Romanesque. The current building, style Romanesque, has integrated many of these old elements when rebuilding.

Be sure not to discover the old town hall, the washing or the old school of the late nineteenth century.

To enjoy sunny days towards the lake that takes place in the heart of the village and reveals many laundries butterflies. The town also has a lot of dry stone huts called caselles in the region.

From the first Sunday of July to second Sunday of September, the town offers the market for washing in the morning with local producers.

Every July, the church hosts the festival Musical Hours Aujols with the program many classical concerts.
