Municipality of more than 8,000 inhabitants in Haute-Garonne, in the Occitanie region, Aucamville takes place seventy-five kilometers from the famous Pink City, Toulouse. It is located on the banks of the Maltemps, not far from Launaguet, Fenouillet or Lespinasse.
The city of Aucamville has developed to the detriment of the two municipalities that preceded it, Lacourtensourt, which it supplanted in the 18th century, and the Croix-Bénite, whose territory it encompassed. A market gardening village between the 19th and 20th centuries, it owes its fame above all to the cultivation of the famous Toulouse violet, whose activity declined in the course of the 1950s in favor of other plants that were easier to cultivate.
Today an active and more urbanized city, Aucamville continues to attract with its cultural and economic dynamism.
