Things to see and do

Modern city in the Paris suburbs, Aubervilliers has none less interesting old heritage and a rich cultural life.

The Notre-Dame-des-Vertus is surely the most beautiful site in the whole city. Located in the heart of the old center, it was built in the fifteenth century under Francis. The windows, rebuilt after the destruction of World War II, reveal the different miracles that took place in the church. The instrumental part of its seventeenth organ, created by François-Henri Clicquot, was classified as Historic Monuments. The church was an important place of pilgrimage between the fourteenth century and the late eighteenth, following the appearance of the Virgin to a child in 1336.

Housed in an old farmhouse from the nineteenth century, the town hall has some Aubervilliers wealth like a VIP lounge with frescoes depicting allegories in a neoclassical style, or a bronze bust of Jean Jaurès. The council has the distinction of hosting in its interior the war memorial in the city.

Green spaces abound in Aubervilliers like Stalingrad square installed in the nineteenth century. in particular we discover a bandstand, a bowling area, or a body of water. The Canal Saint-Denis is also a promenade popular with city residents.

Built in the mid-nineteenth century, the fort of Aubervilliers is one of sixteen military works which were aimed at protecting Paris.

Second highest skyscraper in the department, the La Villette tower is 123 meters.
