The marina of Arzal, in the Morbihan, located 9 km west of La Roche-Bernard and 40 km southeast of Vannes is one of the largest freshwater ports on the Atlantic coast. It was built on the banks of the Vilaine, a few kilometers from its mouth. The port has a total of 1,479 berths, of which 971 are on pontoon and dock, and 320 are on the ground.
The port has the specificity of not being subject to the tides and being always "afloat" thanks to a dam built on the estuary, downstream, in 1970, equipped with a lock to allow the passage of the ships.
Arzal is also known for its handling areas and repair and maintenance sites. For users, many services are effective such as water pumps, sanitary, shops and a bike rental point. The port also hosts events like Naughty Party, gathering old rigs, early May.
